Iranian short ‘Elders’ wins award in Turkey

The 2020 Int'l Siirt Short Film Festival in Turkey awards Iranian short ‘Elders’.

Iranian short flick ‘Elders’ has garnered the Special Jury Prize at the 3rd edition of the International Siirt Short Film Festival in Turkey.

Co-directed by Parisa Sedaee-Azar and Ramin Farzaneh, ‘Elders’ is about a 70-year-old man, named Kazem, who plans to run away from a nursing home.

The actors of the short flick are Kazem Hashemzadeh, Malakeh Fathi, and Mahsa Sedaee-Azar.

The short flick also won the Diploma of the Audiences Sympathy at the 10th Baku International Short Film Festival in Azerbaijan.

The Siirt Short Film Festival aims to create awareness in the fields of tourism, art, and culture. It provides attendees with a space to share their experiences.

The event also includes workshops in different fields such as scriptwriting and cinematography.

The 2020 edition of the Turkish event was held on October 5-9.
